My First Time

Lightning bled across the sky that stormy June afternoon in 2009.  Ominous clouds converged overhead as if summoning signs of drastic change.  Drastic change, indeed.  From that day forward, my life would never be the same - the day we first met.

My current surroundings were unfamiliar to me.  No one approached me causing me to feel slightly out of place.  I looked around, a little timid and unsure until you caught my eye.  You stood before me in quiet confidence - emotionless, yet strangely attractive, I couldn't look away.

The storm began to dissipate and the sun peaked through the clouds.  I watched the sunlight dance across the curves of your body and sparkle in the raindrops that puddled around you, almost as if you were being illuminated by the angels themselves.  If I tried hard enough, I could have heard them singing.

My heart began pounding in my ears in anticipation of what was next.   A shiver of excitement snaked down my spine as I bit down on my lip and made my first move.  I reached out to touch you and surprised at your warmth, I drew back quickly.

Laughing a little I convinced myself I was being ridiculous, and forged ahead.

I reached out again...

opened the door...

and slinking down into the seat... I fell in love with my very first S2000.

Hello & Goodbye

It's been a while since I've updated this blog.  I've had every intention of keeping it up but we all know how that goes.

I guess the good thing is, I've been busy travelling with my husband on many adventures with our car club.  We've been participants in parades, attended the St. Pete Grand Prix, another trip to the Dragon and basically just enjoying our lives out there on the road.  :o)

There are a few more updates I want to make to this blog.  One might be coming soon.  I just have to put myself in the right frame of mind.  I need my time and my space to be creative.  All too often, I'll be waxing poetically about something, typing away in a good groove and then, like a needle scratching across a record, I get interrupted and like Kubla Khan, it's gone.

So, if you feel so inclined, please stay tuned.  I can promise you, interesting things are on the horizon.
